Three wheeler donated to Transport Assistant GMNG Jayarathna

Transport Assistant GMNG Jayarathna, a sailor in the active naval service, whose sick child needed to be accompanied for the medical clinics, was donated a three wheeler, under the directives of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva.

This sailor had drawn the attention of the SL Navy requesting that he was in much inconvenient of accompanying his sick child for the clinics frequently and large sum of money had to be spent for transportation. This three wheeler was donated enabling him to accompany his child to the clinics, by Naval Welfare Fund under the directives of Commander of the Navy.

Accordingly, the three wheeler was officially handed over to Transport Assistant GMNG Jayarathna by Director General Services Rear Admiral Nilantha Heenatigala at the Naval Headquarters, on 08^th July 2019. The occasion was attended by Director Naval Welfare Commodore Senarath Wijesooriya and other naval officers. TA Jayarathna conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the Commander of the Navy and the whole navy.
