Two persons held with 130 litres of illegal liquor

A group of naval personnel arrested 02 suspects with 130 litres of illegal liquor, at Kokkilai area in Pulmude on 13^th July 2019.

Accordingly, a group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, during foot patrol carried out at Kokkilai area, sized 130 liters of illegal liquor with two suspects who engaged in producing this illicit liquor. Further, 02 plastic cans and equipment used for illegal brewery were also taken into naval custody.

The arrested suspects have been identified as residents of Madurankiliya and Ragama areas aged 37 and 42. The suspects and belongings were handed over to the Kokkilai Police for onward action.
