Two persons arrested with heroin by the Navy

Sri Lanka Navy arrested 02 persons with 5.310g of heroin at the Oluvil junction on 10^th July 2019.

A group of naval personnel attached to the Southeastern Naval Command had searched 02 suspicious persons riding a motorbike at the Oluvil junction and found 05 small packets containing 5.310g of heroin, concealed in the seat cover of the motorbike. The suspects were subsequently taken into naval custody.

The 02 suspects are residents of Addalachchenai and Palamunai areas, aged 21 and 33. The suspects along with heroin and motorbike were handed over to the Police Special Task Force in Kalmunai for further investigation
