Certificate awarding of Balance Style Course 2019/ 1

The certificate awarding of Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) - Balance Style Course 2019/ 1 was held at the auditorium of Special Boat Squadron Headquarters, Trincomalee on 05^th July 2019.

The ceremony was graced by Deputy Area Commander Eastern Naval Area, Commodore Jayantha Kularatne, as the Chief Guest. Thirty Six (36) Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) personnel from the Special Boat Squadron (24) and the 4^th Fast Attack Flotilla (12) successfully completed the training programme held for 23 days. The JCET was conducted by ten (10) trainers of the 19^th Special Forces Group Airborne of US Army.

The three-week long exercise training mainly focused on human rights, law of land warfare, 9mm and 5.56mm ammunitions live firing and handling of small arms, patrolling methods, tactical combat casualty care, long range marksmanship, maritime interdiction operations, Improvised Explosive Device(IED) and military decision making process.

The certificate awarding ceremony was also attended by senior officers, Heads of Departments and Lieutenant Commander Jonathan Bach from the United States Embassy in Sri Lanka.
