Navy step ahead with another event of beach cleaning programme

As another step of Navy's beach cleaning programme conducted in line with Green and Blue concept, Naval personnel of Southern Naval Command conducted a beach cleaning programme, on 29^th June.

Accordingly, officers and sailors attached to Southern Naval Command with the participation of Deputy Area Commander cleaned the beach areas of Galle and Ginthota. These beach areas were heavily untidy by congestion of garbage as a result of natural and human acts.

Under the visionary vision of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, all Naval commands have commenced this kind of eco friendly projects in order to practice the Green-Blue concept and carries out beach cleaning programmes in all naval bases, weekly.
