Navy recovers 25 unauthorized fishing nets in Batticaloa lagoon area

Navy recovered 25 unauthorized fishing nets in the Batticoloa lagoon area, today (29,^th June).

Accordingly, naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, during a patrol conducted in the lagoon area of Batticaloa today, recovered these 25 banned fishing nets. Subsequently, these banned fishing nets were handed over to the Assistant Directorate of Fisheries in Batticaloa for onward legal action.
