Naval personnel receive cheques for semi-completed houses under Meth Sevana housing project

Ten (10) naval personnel today (28^th June) received cheques for semi-completed houses under Meth Sevana housing project initiated by the Ministry of Defence.

Accordingly, under the second stage of 2019, the financial grants were conferred on 10 war heroes who made the supreme sacrifice and differently abled naval personnel who are on retirement at a ceremony held at the Naval Headquarters. Three(03) disabled Naval personnel and seven(07) family members of Naval war heroes killed/missing in action received cheques at the ceremony.

The occasion was attended by Director Naval Welfare, Commodore SenarathWijesuriya and a group of officers from the Navy Welfare Unit.
