Navy apprehends five persons for attempt to fish with explosive

A Naval troop apprehended 5 persons who attempted for fishing, using explosive at the lagoon mouth area of Kokilai lagoon in Pulmude, today (27^th June).

Accordingly, a troop of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, apprehended 5 persons who attempted in fishing with explosive, during a patrol carried out today. The suspects are residents of Pulmude area aged 27 to 43.

Two dinghies used for fishing, 02 OBMs, 01 water gel charger, 01 tube of water gel, 05 non electric detonators and 04 safety fuses had also been taken into naval custody and those items along with the suspects were handed over to Pulmude Police for onward legal action.
