Navy found a banned net at Kokkuthuduwai area

A group of naval personnel held a dinghy with a banned fishing net at Kokkuthuduwai area in Mulathivu on 26^th June 2019.

Accordingly, a group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, on patrol, had observed an abandoned dinghy. During further search, a banned fishing net and an OBM were recovered.

The recovered items were handed over to Assistant Director of Fisheries- Mulathivu for onward action.
