Navy recovers banned fishing nets in Ullakkalai lagoon area

Navy recovered 24 unauthorized fishing nets each 40m long, in the Ullakkalai lagoon area, today (21^st June).

Accordingly, naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, recovered these banned fishing nets during a patrol carried out in the Ullakkalai lagoon area, today.

Subsequently, these unauthorized fishing nets were handed over to the office of the Fisheries Inspector in Muttur for onward legal action.
