Suspect arrested after Navy discover some prescription drugs

Sri Lanka Navy in coordination with STF in Pulmoddai apprehended a person with some prescription drugs, during a raid carried out at Jinnapuram in Pulmoddai on 15^th June 2019.

Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with STF personnel in Pulmoddai arrested the suspect who had 27 tablets of ‘Pregabalin’ pain killer in his possession. The arrest was made while the suspect was transferring these tablets to sell, by a three-wheeler.

The suspect has been identified as a resident of Pulmoddai, aged 45. The arrested person along with drugs and the three-wheeler was handed over to the Pulmoddai Police for onward legal action.

In similar vein, the Navy apprehended 02 persons with 130 capsules of Pregazim, another prescription drug, during a raid conducted in Linganagar area, Trincomalee on 14^th June as well.
