Unauthorized fishing nets found in Batticaloa lagoon

Naval personnel found four (04) unauthorized fishing nets in the lagoon of Batticaloa on 01^st June.

A group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, during a routine patrol, found these 04 unauthorized fishing nets, each is about 100ft in length.

The seized nets were handed over to the Assistant Directorate of Fisheries in Batticaloa for onward action.
