Navy nabs a person with unauthorized fishing net at Poduwakattu lagoon area

A team of Naval personnel held a person with an unauthorized fishing net at Poduwakattu lagoon area, on 30^th May 2019.

Accordingly, a group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, during a foot patrol, held this person who had kept this unauthorized fishing net in a three-wheeler.

This 90m long unauthorized fishing net (Surukku net) and the three-wheeler used for transportation the net were taken into naval custody.

The suspect together with the unauthorized net and three-wheeler was handed over to Kuchchaweli Police for onward action.
