Two (02) junior sailor married quarters declared open at Naval Dockyard in Trincomalee

Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe declared open 02 junior sailor married quarters at the Naval Dockyard in Trincomalee on 25^th May 2019.

After having given a facelift to 02 old buildings at the Naval Dockyard, the refurbished buildings named as ‘Waterloo 1’ and ‘Waterloo 2’ were given to 02 married junior sailors attached to the Eastern Naval Command. The Area Commander also gave away presents to the house recipients. The construction work of this project was undertaken by the Naval Civil Engineers.

This occasion was also attended by Deputy Area Commander –East, Commodore Upul De Silva, Departmental Heads of the Eastern Naval Command, senior officers, sailors and family members of beneficiaries.
