Navy recovers 11 unauthorized fishing nets in Verugal Aru

Navy recovered 11 unauthorized fishing nets each is about 75m in length, in Verugal Aru, Trincomalee yesterday (13^th May).

Accordingly, naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, during a patrol conducted in the Verugal Aru, recovered these 11 unauthorized fishing nets.

Subsequently, the unauthorized fishing nets were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector of Trincomalee for onward action.
