Navy finds 02 suspected dinghies left in Dutch Bay, Trincomalee

A group of naval personnel found 02 suspected fishing boats left at the beach of Dutch Bay, Trincomalee yesterday.

During a patrol carried out at the beach of Dutch Bay, Trincomalee, a group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command spotted 02 dinghies, bearing the same register number. The 02 suspected dinghies along with several other fishing gear and an outboard motor were taken into naval custody.

Subsequently, the seized items were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries in Trincomalee for onward action.
