Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne takes over duties as Navy Chief of Staff

Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne was appointed as the new Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy with effect from 04^th May 2019, by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena.

Accordingly, the new Chief of Staff of the Navy officially assumed office, after a simple ceremony held giving prominence to religious rites, at the Naval Headquarters this morning (09^th May).

His beloved wife, Mrs. Chandima Wickramarathne, daughter, Samadhini and father were also present on this special occasion.
