SLNS Samudura leaves for Singapore
Sri Lanka Navy’s Offshore Patrol Vessels, SLNS Samudura left for Singapore from the Port of Trincomalee, yesterday (6th May).
The ship, 154 naval personnel onboard including 17 officers, left for Singapore to take part in the International Maritime Defence Exhibition ( IMDEX) scheduled to be held there.
The International Maritime Defence Exhibition will be participated by navies of 33 countries with 16 Navy Commanders and officers from 06 Costal Agencies.
The ship is due to stay in Singapore from 12th to 17th May and during the visit, the Sri Lanka naval personnel are expected to attend several events which include; Basic communication, flag hoisting, Fire fighting and Damage control, Action station and Action messing, Man Over Board drill, Safe Keeping Boat Distance Line.
SLNS Samudura is expected to leave Singapore on 17th May on completion of the events in Naval exhibition and exercise.
