SLNS ‘Nipuna’ celebrates its silver jubilee on a grand note

The silver jubilee of SLNS ‘Nipuna’ was celebrated on 20^th April and several religious events of all faiths were held under the patronage of Commanding Officer SLNS ‘Nipuna’, Captain Sanjeewa Perera and organization of the crew members of the establishment.

Accordingly, religious events were held at Catholic Church in Halpathota, Baddegama, Jumma Mosque in Gintota and a Bodhi Pooja pinkama at the shrine room of SLNS ‘Nipuna’. Meanwhile, the Commanding Officer inspected divisions on 20th April. Further, he insisted under trainees to do their training with enthusiasm.

The proceedings of the anniversary celebrations came to a close following the traditional partaking of meals at the General Mess, with the participation of the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer and ship’s crew.
