Navy recovers 181 Unauthorized fishing nets in Batticaloa lagoon area

Navy recovered 181 banned fishing nets in Batticoloa lagoon area,today(20^th April).

Accordingly, Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, recovered 181 banned fishing nets, during a routine patrol carried out in the Batticaloa lagoon area.

Subsequently, these unauthorized fishing nets were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries in Batticaloa for onward legal action.
