Navy found a banned net at Rakkuli sea area

A group of naval personnel held a dinghy with a banned fishing net at Rakkuli sea area in Trincomalee, today (11^th April).

Accordingly, a group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, on patrol, had observed an abandoned dinghy which was floating in the sea. During further search, a banned fishing net, 06 kg of caught fish and an OBM were recovered.

The recovered items were handed over to Assistant Director of Fisheries-Trincomalee for onward action.
