Navy assists the beach cleaning campaign

Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command assisted a beach cleaning campaign organized by the Department of Samurdhi Development. During this programme, Kalladi and Pasikudah beach areas in Batticoloa were cleaned, yesterday (8^th April) with participation of large number of sailors.

Further, Officials of the Department of Samurdhi Development, Samurdhi beneficiaries and large number of residents in the area also joined the campaign. Sri Lanka Navy always concerns of maintaining a clean coastal line and committed for that. Therefore, beach cleaning programmes around all the Naval bases are carried out on weekly basis.
