Navy apprehends a person transporting sand without permit

Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command with the assistance of officials of Kinniya Police arrested a person who was transporting sand without valid permit. The arrest was made in Milappanchenai, Kinniya today (08^th April).

The arrested person is a resident of Kinniya, aged 31. The tractor loaded with approximately 1 cube of sand was taken into naval custody and subsequently handed over to the Kinniya Police for onward legal action.
