A person apprehended by Navy with turtle flesh

Naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command apprehended a person with 4.5kg of turtle flesh, during a raid carried out at Kudaveli area in Delft, today (3^rd April).

The apprehended person is a resident of Delft area aged 50. The suspect and flesh kept with him were handed over to Delft Police for legal action.

Sri Lanka Navy is always on concern and committed to protect and provide safe habits for these creatures that are recently included into the Red List too. Further, as Sri Lankans it is the responsibility of all of us to safeguard these rare species of animal world.
