Navy recovers the dead body of a drowned person

A diving operation was launched by Navy divers yesterday (31^st March) in search of the dead body of a missing person who drowned in the bathing spot at Beligaha road in Yattovita and accordingly the dead body was recovered in the morning today.

In response to the information of this incident provided by Dompe Police, Naval Headquarters promptly dispatched a team of Navy divers to the location. After a strenuous task, Navy diving team recovered the dead body which was stranded under the water.

This drowned person has been identified as a resident of Thithapattra area in Yattovita aged 19 and the dead body was handed over to Dompe Police for further investigation.
