Lieutenant Commander Athula Bandara assumes duties as Commanding Officer of SLNS Hansaya

Lieutenant Commander (ND) Athula Bandara assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of Sri Lanka Navy Ship (SLNS) Hansaya yesterday (26^thMarch). Accordingly, the former Commanding Officer of the ship, Lieutenant Commander (G) Dhammika Jayawardana officially handed over the duties to the new Commanding Officer, aboard the ship.

An inspection of divisions, presided over by the new Commanding Officer, was held at the parade ground of SLNS Dakshina in Galle today. Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Rear Admiral Ananda Guruge and the outgoing Commanding Officer were also present on this occasion.
