Illegal fishing nets found in the lagoon area of Batticaloa

A group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command found few nylon fishing nets used for illegal fishing, during a patrol carried out in the lagoon area of Batticaloa yesterday (24^th March).

The 21 illegal fishing nets (150 feet each) were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries in Batticaloa for onward action.
