Sri Lanka Navy Inter-command Volleyball Tournament – 2019

Sri Lanka Navy Inter-command Volleyball Tournament-2019 came to a successful end at the volleyball court of SLNS shiksha, on 23^rd March. A number of volleyball teams representing all naval commands took part in the tournament in which Midshipman DES Jayakody of the Training Command and Able Women Physical Training Instructor AKK Aluthge of the Training Command were adjudged the best players in respective men’s and women’s categories. The overall men’s championship in the tournament was won by the Training Command and Eastern Naval Command secured the position of Runners-up while the overall women’s championship was secured by the Training Command and Western Naval Command became the Runners-up.

The prize awarding ceremony was presided over by the Commander North Central Naval Area, Rear Admiral Muditha Gamage. Commandant SLNS Shiksha Captain(C) Janaka Nissanka, Commanding Officer SLNS Pandukabhya Captain(NP) RSCR Fonseka, President Sri Lanka Navy Volleyball Association Captain(L) TDS de Silva Naval, officers of the North Central Naval Command and a large number of sailors were also present on this event.
