Two fishermen who distressed in the seas off Mannar due to stranding their fishing craft between the sand banks, were rescued by a group of naval personnel attached to North central Naval Command, today (14^th March).

A group of Naval personnel attached to the North Western Naval Command, apprehended five persons who engaged in illegal fishing without valid fishing passes and using banned nets, during a patrol carried out in Rodapadu area, yesterday (13^th March).
