Rear Admiral Ruwan Perera assumes duties as Commander North Western Naval Area

Rear Admiral Ruwan Perera who served as the Commander South Eastern Naval area, assumed duties as the newly appointed Commander North Western Naval Area today (06^th March). On his arrival, he was accorded a Guard of Honour and warmly received to the North Western Naval Command. His predecessor, Rear Admiral Sujeewa Perera formally handed over the duties of the position to the incoming Area Commander at the Commandant’s office located at SLNS Barana.

Further, former Area Commander Rear Admiral Sujeewa Perera is due to take over as the Commandant Volunteer Naval Force at VNF Headquarters. The fellow officers of the North Western Naval Command congratulated the outgoing senior officer and a Guard of Honour was accorded on his departure.
