New Junior Sailors' Mess at SLNS Barana declared open

The newly constructed Junior Sailors’ Mess at SLNS Barana in the Northwestern Naval Command was ceremonially declared open by Commander Northwestern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sujeewa Perera today (02^nd March).

The new facility was declared open in order to provide spacious accommodation and improve welfare of the junior sailors serving at the naval establishment. Deputy Area Commander Northwestern Naval Area, Commodore Rohitha Perera, Commanding Officer and Executive Officer of SLNS Barana, Heads of Departments, officers and sailors were also present on this occasion.
