Rear Admiral Noel Kalubowila assumes duties as Commander Southeastern Naval Area

Rear Admiral Noel Kalubowila assumed duties as Commander Southeastern Naval Area today (01^st March). Accordingly, Rear Admiral Ruwan Perera who previously held office as Commander Southeastern Naval Area formally handed over the duties to his successor at the Area Commander’s office at SLNS Mahanaga. Previously, Rear Admiral Kalubowila held office as Deputy Area Commander of the Eastern Naval Area.

Meanwhile, Rear Admiral Perera is expected to assume duties as Commander Northwestern Naval Area. The outgoing senior officer was also accorded a special Guard of Honour before he left the Southeastern Naval Command, amidst the wishes of fellow naval officers.
