IRONMAN 70.3 winners meet Commander of the Navy

The Ironman 70.3 international triathlon was held at the Galle Face Green on 24^th February 2019 on a high note. Twelve (12) athletes of the Sri Lanka Navy also took part in this event exhibiting their fair play and good sportsmanship. Displaying its excellent performances, the Navy relay team secured the 1^st place in the relay event held as part of IRONMAN 70.3.

Accordingly, the members of the winning team met Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Naval Headquarters yesterday (28^th February). The Navy Commander praised the significant achievement of the naval athletes and expressed his gratitude to them for bringing a lot of credit to the country as well as Sri Lanka Navy.
