Suspect nabbed with 42.3kg of Kerala cannabis

Naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command in coordination with the Mannar Police nabbed a suspect with 42.3kg of Kerala cannabis during a raid carried out in the general area of Puthukuduirippu in Mannar this morning (28^th February).

The suspect has been identified as a resident of Puthukuduirippu in Mannar, aged 37. The arrested person along with the stock of cannabis was handed over to the Mannar Police for onward legal action.

Meanwhile, a group of naval personnel attached to Fast Attack Craft belonging to the Northern Naval Command arrested 02 suspects with 86.4kg of Kerala cannabis during a patrol carried out in the seas north of Point Pedro yesterday (27th February). Accordingly, the Navy will continue to conduct operations with maximum intensity to fight against the drug menace that scourged the country.
