SLNS ‘Sayurala’ joins IDEX – 2019 in Abu Dhabi

After successful completion of the naval exercise AMAN-2019 held from 08th to 14th February in Karachi, Pakistan, SLNS ‘Sayurala’ arrived at the port of Mina Zayid in Abu Dhabi on 16th February, to attend the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) – 2019.

IDEX – 2019 got off ground under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on 17th of this month. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and a host of armed force personnel form a number of countries were also present on this occasion. The exhibition is scheduled to be over tomorrow (21st February).

The International Defence Exhibition and Conference which is held biennially is a unique platform to establish and strengthen relationships with armed forces throughout the region. Further, IDEX is the only international defence exhibition and conference held in the Middle East and North Africa region demonstrating the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence.
