Sayurala showcases Sri Lankan food culture at AMAN Food Festival - 2019

Sri Lanka Navy Ship (SLNS) Sayurala which was in Karachchi, Pakistan attending the naval exercise AMAN 2019 from 08^th to 14^th February, also took part in the Food Festival held on 10^th February, on the sidelines of the main event.

The crew members of SLNS Sayurala set up an exciting food kiosk onboard ship for the Food Festival, which stood out from the rest of the stalls. Meanwhile, a wide variety of Sri Lankan food items has been prepared for the event and the visitors who tasted those food varieties were highly impressed about Sri Lankan food. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi and defence officials of both counties also shared a light moment while enjoying local food varieties.

Representing the Sri Lanka Navy, Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Jagath Ranasinghe, Naval Officer in Charge (Welisara) and Commanding Officer SLNS Gemunu, Commodore Bandula Senarathna and a host of senior naval officers were present on this occasion.
