Navy collars 03 suspects with 20kg of Kerala cannabis

A group of naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command together with Police Narcotic Bureau in Puttalam carried out a raid in the Ichchankadu sea area today (18^th February) and collared 03 suspects for smuggling illegal drugs via sea.

During the arrest, 20kg of Kerala cannabis and a dinghy used for the smuggling activity were taken into naval custody. The arrested persons along with the stock of cannabis and the dinghy were handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau in Puttalam for onward investigation.
