Navy lift all-around championship at National Canoe Sprint Championship-2019

Sri Lanka Navy Canoeing Pool emerged with the overall championship with clinching both men and women categories at the National Canoe Sprint Championship-2019 which worked off on the waters of Diyawannawa from 13^th to 16^th February.

About 400 contestants representing Tri Forces, Colombo University, Moratuwa University, Royal College, St Thomas College, St Joseph College, Ladies College, Vishaka Vidyalaya and Colombo Rowing Club participated in the events.

Navy contestants were talented enough to secure 7 Gold medals and 3 Bronze medals under women categories while securing 6 Gold and 2 Bronze medals in men's categories bringing all together 18 medals for Navy.

The chief coordinator of the National Rowing Club Mr D Devahandri graced the awarding ceremony as the chief guest.
