Unauthorized fishing nets cast in Batticaloa lagoon area taken into naval custody

Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command took 05 unauthorized nylon fishing nets (150 feet each) into custody, cast in the Batticaloa lagoon area today (16^th February).

The seized fishing nets were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries in Batticaloa for onward legal action.
