Navy nabs 3 persons for illegal fishing

Three (03) persons who were engaging in illegal fishing activities in the sea area of Sinnapadu in Puttalam, were apprehended by Naval personnel attached to the North Western Naval Command, yesterday (15^thFebruary).

Sixteen (16) nos of sea cucumber, a lobster bearing matured eggs and a dinghy used by them were also taken into Naval custody and the persons along with the nabbed items were handed over to Assitant Director of Fisheries-Puttalam for onward legal action.
