A donation worth of one million for the welfare of Naval children
 

A sum of Rs one million(10,00000) has been donated to the SL Navy Seva Vanitha Unit by Mrs Ayanka Koshian with her children, resided in USA, who is the wife of late Mr Gildus Koshian, a naval person attached to the engineering branch of France Navy.

Accordingly, this donation was handed over to Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva by Mrs Ayanka Koshian in a ceremony held at Naval Headquarters, on 01 February. The children of Mrs Koshian, Dinesh Koshian, Niranjali Koshian, Dulanjali Koshian, Commandant Naval Patrolman & Director Naval Marine Force Rear Admiral Udeni Serasinghe and several senior Naval officers were also present on this occasion.

Further, Mrs Ayanka Koshian was provoked to do such a donation to be used for the welfare of Naval children as a responsibility abided upon her being a Sri Lankan born lady. This donated funds will be utilized by NSVU to grant scholarships to Naval children for their further education.
