Navy foils illegal migration attempt to India suspect apprehended
A group of naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command during a foot patrol apprehended a suspect roaming in the general area of Mandathive, Jaffna yesterday (30th January).
The suspect has been identified as a resident of Pelmadulla, aged 49. Further inquiry into the incident has revealed that the suspect was wandering in the area with the intention of migrating to India. The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Mandathive Police for onward action.
