British Defence Adviser calls on Commander of the Navy
Newly appointed Defence Advisor to the British High Commission in Sri Lanka, Colonel David Ashman called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Naval Headquarters today (18th January). The new Defence Adviser was accompanied by his predecessor, Group Captain Frazer Nicholson.
During the cordial meeting, they exchanged views on several matters of bilateral importance. Commander of the Navy also extended best wishes to the outgoing Defence Adviser. In the meantime, Group Captain Nicholson was grateful for the Navy’s cooperation that never lacked during his tenure. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the importance of this occasion.
