Commander of the Navy meets with Inspector General of Police
The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva who assumed office as the 23rd Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, met with the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Pujith Jayasundara at the Police Headquarters in Colombo today (14 January). The Commander of the Navy was warmly received according a Guard of Honour, upon his arrival on the premises.
The Inspector General of Police extended his warm wishes and greetings to the Navy Commander before holding cordial discussions on matters of current interests. On completion of discussions, mementos were exchanged to mark the Navy Commander’s first official meeting with the IGP. A host of senior Police officers attached to the Police Headquarters was also present on this occasion.
