Navy arrests 02 women with turtle meat
 

A group of naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command, during a foot patrol, arrested 02 women for slaughtering turtles in the general area of Nalladarankattuwa yesterday (12^th January). During the arrest, troops also found 25kg of turtle meat and 211 turtle eggs.

The arrested women along with the stock of turtle meat and eggs were handed over to the Range Forest Office-Anawilundawa for onward action.

Meanwhile, the Navy also nabbed a person with 3.185kg of turtle flesh in Vankalaipadu area on 10^th January.
