Navy recovers the dead body of fisherman drowned in Galihena lagoon
 

In response to the information given by Chilaw Police about a fisherman who had gone missing at Galihena lagoon in Chilaw yesterday (11 January), Sri Lanka Navy dispatched a team comprised of six (06) navy divers to the location.

Accordingly, after a strenuous task carried out over 5 hours throughout Galihena lagoon, navy diving team was able to recover the dead body of the fisherman today (12 January) and it was handed over to Wattala Police for further investigation. The person is a resident of Galihena area.
