Asymmetric Warfare Course 2019 commences in Trincomalee
The Asymmetric Warfare Course (AWC) 2019 organized by the Sri Lanka Navy Special Boat Squadron (SBS) commenced in Trincomalee yesterday (07th January). The opening ceremony of AWC 2019 was ceremonially held at the auditorium of SBS Training School in the Naval Dockyard, with the participation of Commanding Officer Special Boat Squadron, Commander Thusitha Daminda.
The twelve-week-long training engagement will enable course participants from different parts of the globe to get the maximum exposure of SLN’s hard-earned Asymmetric Warfare experience, during their training period. Thirty two (32) military personnel from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Pakistan, the Netherlands and Sri Lanka will involve in this arduous training that will help them to hone a new facet of their military career. The course is scheduled to terminate on 02nd April 2019.
