Commander of the Navy calls on State Minister of Defence
 

Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva who was appointed as the 23^rd Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy called on the State Minister of Defence, Hon. Ruwan Wijewardene at the Ministry today (04^th January). This was the first official meeting of the Navy Commander with the State Minister of Defence after assuming duties of the new position.

Hon. Ruwan Wijewardene expressed his best wishes to Vice Admiral Silva on his deserved promotion and held a cordial discussion. Commander of the Navy also presented a memento to the State Minister of Defence, to mark the importance of this occasion.
