Commander (G) Prasad Vithanage takes over command of SLNS Prathapa
 

Commander (G) Prasad Vithanage assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Sri Lanka Navy’s Fast Gun Boat, SLNS Prathapa today (05^th January).

The command of the ship was officially handed over to the new Commanding Officer by the former Commanding Officer, Commander (N) Buddhika Jayaweera at the No 1 Pier in Kankasanthurai. Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Rear Admiral Ananda Guruge was also present on the occasion. With an inspection of divisions by the new Commanding Officer, the proceedings of the occasion concluded.
