Commander of the Navy calls on Defence Secretary
 

The new Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva called on the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Hemasiri Fernando, at the Ministry of Defence today (04^th January 2019).

During the cordial interaction, the Defence Secretary extended his best wishes to Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva who assumed duties as the 23^rd Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy. The cordial discussions culminated with an exchange of mementoes. This also marked the Commander of the Navy’s first official meeting with the Defence Secretary upon assuming office.
